After leaving Blacklist, Megan Boone (Liz) back in a new series

Revealed to the general public thanks to the role of Liz Keen that she held in “Blacklist” until 2021, Megan Boone will soon be back on American television in the legal series “Accused”, which will be launched next year on Fox.

Megan Boone has found her first post-production TV projectBlacklist. And her fans will be able to find her in a role that has nothing to do with that of Liz Keen.

For almost ten years, the 39-year-old actress starred opposite James Spader and Diego Klattenhoff in the hit NBC series Blacklist, which will return in 2023 for season 10 and is broadcast in France on TF1, Série Club, and Netflix.

But to everyone’s surprise, Megan Boone decided to leave the adventure in 2021, for reasons that still remain rather vague today, and her character, FBI special agent Elizabeth “Liz” Keen, thus made her last appearance on the occasion of the finale of season 8 of Blacklist, aired on June 23, 2021 in the United States.

Since then, the detective series created by Jon Bokenkamp has continued without her, and Megan Boone has been rather discreet. However, according to Deadline, she will soon make her big comeback on the small screen in a new fiction titled Accused, which will arrive mid-season 2022-2023 on the American channel Fox, to which we owe The Resident or 9-1 -1.

Created by Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa (Homeland), as well as David Shore (Good Doctor), Accused is an anthological legal series that tells a different story in each episode, but always according to the same process: each part opens with a accused in a courtroom.

The public does not yet know what his crime is and does not know the outcome of the trial. The story, told from the point of view of the accused, then goes on to show how an ordinary person is caught in a cycle of bad decisions. Until a point of no return where it is too late to turn back.

The episode in which Megan Boone will appear will be directed by Marlee Matlin and will focus on the case of Ava (Stephanie Nogueras), a young deaf woman who becomes a surrogate mother for Jenny and Max, an on-screen couple played by Boone and Aaron Ashmore (Locke & Key). But nothing will go as planned and Ava will find herself in the dock. Why ? Answer next year in Accused.

The big return of Megan Boone as a regular in a series is therefore not yet for now, but fans of the actress, who appeared last year in The Underground Railroad, will in any case undoubtedly be happy to find her on the small screen after almost two years of absence.
