The first segment of the VRL France received fairly positive feedback. There is still a lot of work to do, but Valorant is starting to structure its competitive scene and the team of ZeratoR (Mandatory) did a lot of good to attract audiences. This will receive support of choice, since the Karmine Corp has officially announced to join the adventure, as part of an expansion from 8 to 10 teams. The Kameto and Prime team does not arrive empty-handed. She arrives with her huge base of supporters but also with a very competitive team on paper.
The secret was not well kept but we were starting to get impatient. The French league resumes on May 9, in a few days. We will then have the opportunity to see yet another confrontation between KC and Vitalitywhich is beginning to establish itself as the French classic of esports.
A 100% French-speaking team
As anticipated, Karmine Corp has set up a roster 100% French-speaking with Newzera, mikee, Takas, Shin, which had already been announced by whistleblowers. The 5th man is Amilwaa. Documented as French on Liquipedia, we will however respect the choice of the structure which announced the player with the Algerian flag. The latter is no stranger to the Riot Games FPS scene. He played in the past in the VRL DACH (Germany) at Mouz. If we go back a little further, we could also see him wearing the colors of Team Heretics.
For the rest, it is also a great classic. Several players experienced the first segment of VRL France at Wylde or Sector One. Shin is thus reigning French champion… We imagine that he will try to double the bet, to the delight of the blue wall. Even if several teams have not yet finalized or formalized their roster, we can move forward without too much fear: the Karmine Corp is coming to win.
VRL France is starting to look really good
Beyond the two teams of “influencers” (Karmine Corp and Mandatory), VRL France is starting to have an exceptional cast. Big esports structures were already present: OG, Team Vitality and Team BDS. But this trio of juggernauts have been joined by MAD Lions. This structure of Spanish origin has decided to land in our French league, bringing in its luggage, Doma, a player who was at the Worlds last year. MAD Lions and the Karmine Corp. are the two teams added by the expansion process. The organizers can rub their hands, the show promises to be beautiful.
We don’t know if it’s related, but in addition to going from 8 to 10 teams, the format changes a lot. Regular season games go from Bo2 to Bo1. The playoffs are always played in Bo5.
