After Myst, Riven and Obduction, the Firmament of Cyan holds its release date on PC

Cyan will have tested the fans’ patience. It was indeed on March 1, 2018 that we discovered the first enigmatic trailer for this new puzzle game. Now dated May 18 on Steam (with or without VR), Firmament will be waiting a little longer in its PS5, PS4 and PS VR2 versions which do not yet have a date. A new, seemingly abandoned steampunk world awaits the player who will have to unravel the mysteries of three unique kingdoms. Undoubtedly cryptic to say the least at first, this world was however built to accomplish an important task, a task that we will be led to discover by exploring it, we are told.

Vitae dilationem affre requirit firmamentum

An essential tool in progression, the Assistant is presented as a means of interacting with the many devices that will be found in the kingdoms of Firmament and solve the puzzles. If loneliness is generally the rule in Cyan games, the player will be accompanied by a mysterious spirit, on whom we should probably not count to tell us everything about the meaning of the machines and structures that inhabit these kingdoms. For virtual reality enthusiasts, Firmament will support Valve Index, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, Rift S and Quest 2 headsets via the Oculus Link. To move, players will have the choice between free exploration and teleportation modes.
