After Obi-Wan Kenobi, a series centered on Darth Vader?

During the Star Wars celebrations held last weekend, Hayden Christensen expressed interest in the idea of playing Darth Vader in a new Disney + series.

One thing is certain: Hayden Christensen did not return to the Star Wars saga to settle for an extra role. Currently in the cast of the mini-series Obi-Wan Kenobi in the role of Darth Vader (he appears during the very last scene of episode 2), the Canadian actor will also soon be in the credits of Ahsoka, a new series dedicated to Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker’s former padawan.

Although claimed by many fans of the Star Wars universe, no Darth Vader series is currently in Disney + projects. The platform will nevertheless be able to count on the support of Christensen, who confirmed this weekend on the sidelines of the Star Wars celebrations his interest in camping the Dark Lord in a spin-off.

I think he’s a character that resonates with our time in a very profound way, and there’s definitely still more to explore… There have been so many stories told in other storytelling formats already and I would love to continue my journey with him.

No doubt his words will not be ignored by Disney+; However, it remains to be seen whether the success of Obi-Wan Kenobi will be sufficient to give rise to spin-offs, like The Mandalorian, quickly declined in derivative series with in particular The Book of Boba Fett (available on Disney +), Ahsoka (airing in 2023) or the one on the Mandalorian Bo-Katan Kryze (in development).

Remember that the next episodes of the Obi-Wan Kenobi series will be offered every Wednesday exclusively on the Disney+ platform.
