Ke Huy Quan was nominated for an Oscar. Harrison Ford is happy for his former “Indiana Jones” colleague.

The actor Ke Huy Quan (51) can look forward to an Oscar nomination. Many know the now 51-year-old for his role as Short Round aka “Shorty” in the film “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom” (1984). As a child, he stood in front of the camera alongside Harrison Ford (80) for the production. Quan’s former co-star can’t contain his excitement about the nomination either. “I’m so happy for him. He’s a great guy,” said Ford at the premiere of his new series Shrinking. in conversation with “Entertainment Tonight”.

“He’s a wonderful actor”

The 80-year-old added: “He’s a wonderful actor. He was when he was a little kid and he still is.” He is very happy and happy. As for Quan appearing in future Indiana Jones franchises, Ford said, “That would be great.” In the summer of 2023, Harrison Ford can be seen in his signature role of the whip-wielding archaeologist for the fifth time.

Ke Huy Quan received an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his work in the award-winning film Everything Everywhere All at Once. On Instagram he described the nomination as “one of the happiest days” of his life. He has already won a trophy at this year’s Golden Globes.
