Rumors have been circulating for weeks about a marital crisis between Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez. Now the singer has canceled her summer tour.

Jennifer Lopez (54) has cancelled her upcoming North American tour. The “This Is Me… Live” tour was supposed to take the pop star through the USA and Canada between June 26 and August 17. But as The US celebrity portal “Page Six” reports that Lopez has canceled her planned tour to spend more time with her family. The singer also addressed her fans with a personal statement.

Jennifer Lopez is “devastated because I let you down”

In her “On The JLo” newsletter, Lopez said she was “heartbroken” about the cancellation of her tour, according to Page Six. “I am deeply saddened and devastated that I have let you down,” the 54-year-old wrote, adding: “I want you to know that I would not do this if I did not feel it was absolutely necessary.” Lopez also promised that she would “make it up to you.”

Is a marital crisis with Ben Affleck the reason for the cancellation?

The tour organizer Live Nation has also confirmed the cancellation. In a statement from the entertainment company it says: “Jennifer is taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends.”

The cancellation of Lopez’s “This Is Me… Live” tour comes after rumors have been circulating for weeks about a marital crisis between the singer and her husband Ben Affleck (51). These first arose when Lopez attended this year’s Met Gala solo. In addition, Affleck is said to not currently be living in their shared house in the upscale suburb of Beverly Hills. However, US media also cite the Hollywood star’s filming as a possible reason for the physical separation. Neither Affleck nor Lopez have yet commented publicly on the current rumors.
