After Samantha, another Sex and the City character might not return

While the cult series Sex and the City will officially be back on HBO very soon, an iconic character from the show is added to the list of absentees.

Fans of Sex and the City were delighted with the announcement of the return of the cult series. However, many regret that Kim Cattrall, who played the bubbly Samantha, is not in the game. It could also be that another iconic character is absent from this revival, Mr. Big!

In the last film of the franchise, Carrie ends happy alongside her husband, Big, played by Chris Noth. However, the latter may not appear in the new season of the series. Will the columnist always be happy in love? "We'll see what happens. I have no answer to give", said Chris Noth in an interview with Entertainment Weekly at the beginning of February. The actor's agent more recently clarified that discussions are still ongoing.

Fans fear the show will kill Carrie's husband because, according to some rumors, Big should have died in a screenplay for the third film that was ultimately unrealized in 2018. But Chris Noth assured Page Six that this was wrong. "He wasn't going to die. There is no way he is dying. It was a lie. ", he revealed.

When a fan asked if Big would be back in the revival, Sarah Jessica Parker who plays Carrie simply replied: "Wait till you see". That seems very mysterious! While this revival entitled"Just Like That " should be shot only from spring 2021, Page Six announces that Chris Noth will indeed not be part of the reboot of the series. So what happened to the show's star couple? Some are betting on a divorce for Carrie and Big. "Heroines are at a different time in their lives. They won't come out the way they did when they were in their thirties. So the way they tell their story will be different.", explained HBO as Sarah Jessica Parker said: "If she were single, how would she have reacted? I would like to think that she would have had a good time with a good friend and that she would have checked in with those she loves."

Carrie could also reconnect with one of her exes, notably Aiden, as the channel has promised a reunion with "some familiar faces".
