Actress Isla Fisher is appearing in the new “Bridget Jones” film following her split from Sacha Baron Cohen, as photos from the set show.

At the beginning of April, the couple Sacha Baron Cohen (52) and Isla Fisher (48) announced their divorce. They each shared the news of the end of their marriage after over 13 years via Instagram story on her official accounts on the social media platform. Now the actress, who shares three children with Baron Cohen, has been spotted on the set of the upcoming comedy “Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy,” as pictures show, which are available to the US magazine “People”.

What role does Isla Fisher play in the new “Bridget Jones” film?

Fisher will appear in “Bridget Jones 4,” which is currently being shot in London. Details about the role she will play are not yet available. However, the set photos show her with a messy hairstyle, wearing a pink ruffled top and a leather jacket.

Baron Cohen and Fisher announced the end of their marriage via Instagram stories about two months ago with the words: “After a long tennis match that lasted more than 20 years, we are finally laying down our racquets.”

“Thank you for all your kindness and support,” the actress wrote a few weeks later, on May 14, also in an Instagram story to her fans and followers.

The cast of “Bridget Jones 4” continues to grow

The cast of the fourth “Bridget Jones” film, which is scheduled to be released in theaters on Valentine’s Day 2025, has continued to grow as Fisher’s casting became known. In addition to leading actress Renée Zellweger (55), the returnees Hugh Grant (63) as womanizer Daniel Cleaver and Emma Thompson (65) as gynecologist Doctor Rawlings were previously confirmed.
