A navy warship sank after a storm in Thailand on Monday night.
According to the Thai Navy, around 30 sailors are still at sea twelve hours later.
Helicopters and other ships are currently on rescue missions.
According to the Navy, almost 80 people have been rescued so far. Several of them have already been taken to a hospital.
According to the Thai Navy spokesman, the salvage is proving to be difficult. “The waves are still high and we cannot search for them from the horizontal line,” Admiral Pokkrong Monthatphalin told Thai PBS.
According to the Navy’s Twitter account, high winds would have spilled water onto the ship. This led to a power failure, which made the ship uncontrollable and overturned. The accident happened off the coast of Thailand’s Prachuap Khiri Khan province.
