After Star Wars, Disney + will adapt another great cinema franchise!

According to Variety, Disney is currently working on an Indiana Jones series for its streaming platform. We tell you everything!

Disney no longer seems to want to make the same mistake by letting more than 12 years pass between two Indiana Jones productions. While the fifth opus worn by Harrison Ford will be released in theaters on June 28, the House with the big ears would be developing a series that would take place in the same universe, as Variety explains.

The subject is still under discussion, no screenwriter is currently attached to the project. We do not know if the series will be centered on the adventurer in Fedora or on another character of the universe… or if it will be a new hero/a new heroine. Everything is possible.

Impossible, however, for Ford to resume his cult role there, since he has repeated several times that Indiana Jones 5 would be his last. And if Disney chooses to recaster, the latter may not appreciate the gesture, as he revealed at the microphone of Today in 2019:

You do not understand ? I am Indiana Jones. When I leave, he will leave with me. It’s simple”.

Still according to the American media, Disney would also think of developing other projects around the archaeologist, such as new films in the cinema.

An announcement that does not surprise us since the strategy of the American studio is to make the most of its flagship franchises. This is currently the case with Star Wars and the multitude of derivative series offered on the streaming platform. This is only the beginning then.
