after the bizarre traces of the screen, the S Pen is also doing its thing

On Reddit and other platforms, many S23 Ultra users are reporting recurring S Pen disconnection issues. An issue that deprives affected users of some of the features specific to Samsung’s stylus.

The Bluetooth connectivity of the S Pen would be partly faulty with the Galaxy S23 Ultra. On Reddit, Twitter or even the official Samsung forum, many users of the device indeed report that the stylus integrated into the Samsung flagship keeps disconnecting.

In some cases, Bluetooth connection problems occur when the stylus is taken out of its slot, with the appearance of a recurring notification warning the user that the connection with the S Pen has failed. It is then necessary to reinsert the stylus to attempt a reconnection which is not always acquired. Other users even report that the stylus does not connect to the S23 Ultra at all.

A Galaxy S23 that makes people talk…

Remember that this is not the first time that the S23 Ultra has faced criticism on social networks and other forums. Not long ago, the device had, for example, been talked about for the strange traces visible on the screen of certain copies. Samsung had then assured that these traces were normal… without however fully convincing the users concerned.

Anyway, there are a few workarounds for users impacted by these pen disconnection issues. In many cases, enabling the “Keep S Pen Connected” feature seems to work. To do this, go to the settings, under the “Advanced features” tab, then go to the “S Pen” category. This function on the other hand has the disadvantage of using more battery, but the impact is rather minimal, note PhoneArena.

The one issue that I am having with the S23 Ultra is that every time I take the S Pen out, I always get a notification saying that the S Pen failed to connect and to reconnect I have to insert it back. Even when it says that S Pen still works but it is annoying af.

It is also possible to reset the S Pen. Again, you have to go through the Settings, under “Advanced functions”, then “S Pen”. The reset is then offered after clicking on the three vertical dots at the top of the screen. Be careful though, this solution only seems to work temporarily. So the S Pen Bluetooth connection problem might reappear after a while.

Note, however, that Bluetooth connectivity is not required to allow the S Pen to work. However, it is necessary to take advantage of the advanced features of the pen. We bet, however, that the two temporary solutions seen above will soon be ousted by the deployment of a patch in good and due form.
