After more than 10 years of waiting, Dragon’s Dogma is finally released on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. A journey not without fault, but quite simply remarkable which could be prolonged.
You may have read it in our columns, in time for the release, Dragon’s Dogma 2 is a pure success. “A pleasure at all times” in a “fascinating” open world capable of absorbing players as Elden Ring was able to do at its launch. Undeniably a great game, and for us, it’s even a masterpiece which received a wonderful 10/10. Since the publication of our test, you may have gotten your hands on it, and some diehards may have even completed the main quest. What if there was even more content?
The fate of Dragon’s Dogma 2 is in your hands
Dragon’s Dogma 2 is a huge piece whose mysteries will take some time to unravel. But already, secrets have been revealed thanks to the involvement of fans who want to know and understand everything about the game. For its part, Capcom has put online a first big patch which allows, among other things, to alleviate the controversy following the discovery of microtransactions. An update which also allows PS5 users to activate/deactivate ray tracing as well as motion blur, or to block the framerate at 30fps of Dragon’s Dogma 2. But the Japanese developer and publisher has other things in mind.
The company is currently seeing if there is an appetite for Dragon’s Dogma 2 DLC or extensions. A little early? You have to plan this well in advance, and rather than doing this in their own corner, the development teams want to know your opinion. A Capcom survey, accessible to everyone, seeks to find out how you heard about the game, what you think of it, etc. After a while, the question of DLC or expansions for Dragon’s Dogma 2 is clearly addressed.
DLC or expansions? Make your voice heard
Capcom asks if you would be interested in purchasing Dragon’s Dogma 2 additional content, with three possible answer choices:
- Yes, I would be interested in purchasing additional content
- I would be interested in purchasing DLC based on price
- No, I would not be interested in purchasing additional content
But the publisher also wants to gauge the interest of DLC based on price. And it ranges from €10 to €49, which suggests there could be massive expansions. Like The Witcher 3? The CD Projekt Red game being a model of the genre, why not. Here are the prices offered by Capcom in detail:
