Chris Pratt’s stunt double has died at the age of 47. The actor remembers “his friend” in an emotional post.

Chris Pratt (44) has died after the death of his former stunt double reported on Instagram with an emotional statement. According to US media reports, Tony McFarr died on Monday (May 13) at the age of 47 in his home near Orlando, Florida. His family said that the cause of death was not yet known. McFarr’s mother Donna told TMZthat his death was “unexpected and shocking”. Tony McFarr worked as a stuntman on “Jurassic World” and “Ant-Man and The Wasp”.

In his Instagram stories, Pratt remembered the “endless hours on set” together in a post for McFarr, with whom he worked in “Guardians of the Galaxy,” among other films. The Hollywood star wrote: “I am devastated at the loss of my friend and former stunt double Tony McFarr. We made several films together. We played golf, drank whiskey, smoked cigars and spent endless hours on set.”

“We will miss him”

Pratt added he will never forget the stuntman’s toughness. He remembers that McFarr suffered a head injury in the title sequence of “Guardians 2,” which was repaired with several staples. “He came right back to work and was ready to move on,” Pratt said. The actor added that Tony McFarr was “always a gentleman and a professional.” “We will miss him. My prayers go out to his friends and family, especially his daughter.” The star also shared snaps of herself and McFarr on the set of the films “Jurassic World” and “Passengers.”

Tony McFarr had worked as a stuntman in Hollywood since 2011 and, according to “TMZ”, also appeared in front of the camera for small appearances as an actor. He is also said to have run several restaurants.
