During the fire, smoke penetrated into the exhibition rooms. The old building will remain closed until the end of the year.

A week ago, a fire broke out in the Kunsthaus Zurich. Late on Tuesday evening (August 2), an electronic device caught fire in a packing room of the old building. At least that’s what initial indications suggested, writes the Kunsthaus in a statement dated August 9th. The Zurich Protection and Rescue team was able to extinguish the fire within a short time.
