After the leak, Ubisoft confirms its battle arena Project Q

A few days ago, the insider Tom Henderson had revealed the first information on the new free-to-play multiplayer title from Ubisoft, Project Q, an announced Fortnite-like, more on the side of its graphic aspect than its gameplay, since it is actually more of a “varied PvP game with a single objective, fun”, than a Battle Royal.

After leaks of an 8-player gameplay sequence, Ubisoft was forced to formalize the game currently in production. On its site, the French studio therefore explains that Project Q, a Team Battle Arena, is well under way. Be careful though, Ubi confirms that this is not a Battle Royale.

It would seem that the game is a logical response to the killing of Hyper Scape, another multiplayer game from Ubi that has fallen into oblivion. As a reminder, the studio has dozens of projects in the pipeline and many multiplayer titles planned, in addition to XDefiant, The Division Heartland or Ghost Recon: Frontline. We already know that Project Q will have a 2v2v2v2 mode, close to a Battle Royale in duos, and another type of zone capture in 4v4, a battle arena where you have to score points. Alpha test sessions are already open on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and PC.

Finally, note that there will be no NFTs inside!
