After the storm front – water rescue found five stand-up paddlers

A short but violent storm front brought several water rescue operations on Wednesday afternoon.

At Lake Wolfgang, the water rescue team was called to a total of four missions. Several people in need were able to save themselves either independently or with the help of water sports enthusiasts who were nearby at the time of the storm. At the Mondsee, five stand-up paddlers and two people had to be rescued from the water rescue team in a rubber dinghy. All people were unharmed. The local fire brigade as well as the Red Cross and the police were on site.
