To solve the case, Detectives Liz Danvers (Jodie Foster) and Evangeline Navarro (Kali Reis) will have to confront the darkness they carry within, and dig into the haunted truths that lie buried beneath the eternal ice.

The trailer is mostly set in a freezing, sunless Alaska that feels cold enough to chill your bones…or a body. Detectives lock down the crime scene, where it appears that the eight missing men took off their shoes before stepping into the snow.

The freezing temperatures do not however cool the investigators, real hotheads and who form an antagonistic duo. Tension rises between them as they have to team up for this delicate affair. There are also lots of frozen bodies, cracking ice, and mysterious painted symbols.

The first season of True Detective already had a very good poster with Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson in 2014, followed by season 2 with Taylor Kitsch, Rachel McAdams and Colin Farrell the following year. The third season was released in 2019 starring Mahershala Ali.
