In recent months, the face of Edouard Philippe has changed considerably: his beard has gradually depigmented due to an auto-immune disease which he suffers from, the vitiligo. “When I was at Matignon, I triggered an aggravation of an autoimmune disease called vitiligo. I couldn’t hide it, my beard was turning white ! I am still affected by this vitiligo, which is moreover in a fairly limited progress“he told the Parisian. But the former head of government also revealed that he was affected by a other autoimmune disease: alopecia.
“My eyebrows fell”
This disease, which is also affected Jada Pinkett Smith and which results in a acceleration of hair loss on certain areas of the body, is also responsible for another major change on his face. “Very recently, my eyebrows have fallen“he revealed, before adding to have “long wondered what an eyebrow was for”. “Well, it’s for getting noticed when it drops!”, he noted, with humor.
