And if the market touch tablets
was in full revival? In recent weeks, many brands have announced new models, and another will soon follow suit. This is OPPO.

The Chinese firm has not confirmed anything yet, but the first technical details have just leaked.

A serious new model?

This is not the first time that the OPPO Pad has been mentioned. This week, the touch pad in question made a remarkable appearance on the site Geekbench. It appears there under the name OPD2101 and gives us some information about its technical characteristics. Starting with its operating system, which will be based on Android 11.

On the on-board processor side, we find a Snapdragon 870 which has already been used on the Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro tablet. As for the GPU, it will be an Adreno 650 supported by 6 GB of RAM. As for the storage space, it is currently set at 256 GB. It is not completely excluded to see additional versions being marketed.

A reasonable price

Last November, we were able to learn about the specifics of the OPPO Pad screen. These rumors mentioned the presence of an 11-inch LCD panel with a definition of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. An 8 MP sensor would be placed on the front for selfies and video calls. On the back of the tablet, a 13 MP camera could be there.

The OPPO Pad is expected to be launched initially in India and China in the first half of 2022. A price of 23,000 rupees (about 270 euros) is also mentioned. It remains to be seen whether the Western market will have access to this touch pad.
