Will Jordan Bardella continue his momentum? After having collected more than 30% of the votes in the European elections, the head of the list of the National Rally newly elected to the European Parliament is already dreaming of becoming Prime Minister. The dissolution of the National Assembly announced by Emmanuel Macron could be a springboard for the National Rally. And according to an OpinionWay survey for Europe 1-CNews- Le Journal du Dimanche, 33% of voters say they are ready to vote for the RN in the early elections.
Among the most convinced voters, those from small towns and villages, such as Dracé, in the Rhône. In the town of 1,000 inhabitants, 54% of voters slipped a Bardella ballot into the ballot box during the European elections. However, this small agricultural village in Beaujolais traditionally votes to the right. Never before has he given so many votes to the National Rally, which is more than 35 points ahead of the Macronist list, although it came second in the commune.
“The others are incapable”
But this score is obvious for Joël: “We’re fed up with this mess that there is in France. It’s delinquency in every sense, total laxity”, explains the local resident at the microphone of Europe 1. “We’ve been hearing the same promises for 50 years and we’re not keeping them. So I hope there will be change,” he continues.
“They will not be worse than the others since the others are incapable,” he concludes. Delinquency is nevertheless very limited here, but what is happening in Lyon, 50 kilometers away, encouraged David and Thierry to also vote RN. And they will do it again in three weeks for the legislative elections. “I will vote for Bardella, to confirm the message,” says David. “And I think a lot of people are going to do the same thing, they (the other parties) need to hear it,” he adds.
Make Macron understand their anger
“I will continue to vote for Bardella, I am sure of it. I want change because I no longer feel in France. It is good to welcome foreigners, but they have more advantages than those who have been there for years. And then, I think that Macron didn’t understand anything” about anger, concludes Thierry, under the Rhodanian sun.
The time has come to try the RN, the only party that has never governed, these rural voters conclude.
