The company AfterShokz, renowned for its bone conduction headphones, announces a change of name, while unveiling a new product.

From now on, he will have to be called Shokz: ” Shorter, stronger, easier to share “, According to the company.

OpenRun, a new product, but actually not really

Much like the name change that takes out a few letters, the new product just builds on something old. The OpenRun headset therefore takes the characteristics of the Aeropex model, while adding a fast charge: in ten minutes, the headset offers an hour and a half of listening.

In short, the OpenRun model offers a total autonomy of eight hours and is certified IP67 (against dust and temporary immersions). It weighs 26 grams and is priced at 139.95 euros.

Shokz takes advantage of his name change to put forward his OpenSwim model, formerly named Xtrainerez. This is a helmet that you can use while swimming thanks to its IP68 standard which promises an immersion up to two meters of water. Autonomy is equivalent to the OpenRun model, namely eight hours. The difference is that the music must be stored directly in the headphones via the 4 GB of storage.
