Afyren: milestone reached towards industrialization

[ad_1]

(CercleFinance.com) – French greentech Afyren announced on Tuesday that it had passed the milestone of two million hours of fermentation carried out in the laboratory, with a view to identifying the raw materials to support its industrial expansion.

Since the company was founded 12 years ago, the company’s R&D teams, made up of chemists and biologists, have carried out tests on more than 300 substrates in the agri-food industry and agriculture.

The company emphasizes that these tests have made it possible to qualify 60 families of biomasses capable of being transformed on an industrial scale into 100% bio-sourced molecules.

A recent partnership concluded with Suez should even open the way to the recovery of household organic waste.

Afyren – whose motto is ‘nothing is lost, nothing is created, everything is transformed’ – underlines that its portfolio is today made up of around ten projects aimed at developing new circular products and value chains with its partners.
