Afyren announced on Tuesday the conclusion of two new commercial contracts for the sale of acids over several years. The company specializing in sustainable chemistry (“greentech”), which offers innovative solutions to replace petroleum ingredients with products from non-food biomass, does not disclose the names of the customers. They are nevertheless presented as leading players in their respective sectors, one in food and the other in animal health.

Human and animal nutrition is experiencing growth levels of over 6% per year. The markets affected by these new partnerships thus show significant potential because they are experiencing increased demand for natural and biobased solutions from consumers. The group responds to these so-called “green” trends by ensuring a local supply chain for raw materials operated by its Afyren Neoxy plant and by its proprietary technological platform. Under the terms of these agreements, 60% of the plant’s target organic acid production (by volume) is already pre-sold.

The action gained 1.1% on Tuesday, to 8.53 euros.
