Afyren strengthens its teams to support its growth in France and its international development


(Boursier.com) — AFYREN a greentech company that offers bio-sourced and low-carbon products to manufacturers thanks to its unique fermentation technology based on a completely circular model, announces the appointment of three new members to its management team as well as recruitments to support its industrial development in France and abroad and intensify its ‘R&D’ activities.

Three strategic appointments

Ursula Feulner – Director Industrial Project Management
Ursula joins AFYREN’s Operations team to lead the upstream phases of industrial projects, including the construction of new factories. AFYREN is delighted to benefit from its long experience acquired within the SUEZ group in various functions closely linked to the management of industrial projects in Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia, and to the risk management of strategic projects.

Léa Bassegoda – Human Resources Director
Léa joins AFYREN to support the growth of the teams. After several years in France and the United States at LVMH and then Danone, Léa Bassegoda will use her skills and solid experience to build a global Human Resources policy within the group and structure the organization, in line with the culture and the strong values ​​of the company.

Christophe Dardel – Strategic Partnerships Director
Christophe joins AFYREN in order to identify and prepare future projects for the establishment of factories abroad and the related strategic partnerships. Christophe brings his long and solid international experience acquired in several companies and in particular within Royal DSM for more than 15 years. A former member of the executive committee, Christophe was notably in charge of the development of DSM Dyneema, which is experiencing very strong organic growth through the establishment of several factories and key partnerships around the world.

An active recruitment policy to support industrial growth and the R&D strategy

In 2022, more than 10 new employees, with complementary profiles and skills, joined the Afyren teams, to support the Group’s industrial development in France and internationally.
These new recruitments come in particular to strengthen the ‘R&D’ team and reflect AFYREN’s desire to develop and continuously optimize the best sustainable solutions for its customers and partners.

New employees are also recruited in engineering and project management to support existing operational teams, anticipate international expansion with, in particular, the design of future factories. Other profiles also reinforce the regulatory, administrative and financial teams to ensure compliance and the operational quality of products and processes.

The AFYREN group now has more than 100 employees, including 60 at the AFYREN NEOXY factory in Saint-Avold in the Grand Est region, and nearly 45 based on the Lyon and Clermont-Ferrand sites, half of whom are entirely dedicated to of Research & Development.
