Expected soon, the new iPad Pro OLED would have a significant common point with the Studio Display monitor. In this case, the device would also offer anti-reflective treatment using “nano-texture”.

Expected in the coming weeks (or even as early as March 26 according to some sources), along with at least one iPad Air, the new iPad Pro would benefit this year from a slight design change linked to the inclusion of a panel OLED. This week, we also learn about Wccftech that Apple would offer a new matte finish for the screen of its high-end tablet, but as an option, similar to what we find on the latest Apple monitors.

No more reflections on the iPad Pro?

In detail, the firm would allow you to choose between a classic treatment for the screen, and “nano-textured” glass, capable of drastically reducing the reflections that can appear in a brightly lit room, or in the context of use in outside. An effective option, offered on the Studio Display monitor (and of course also on the Pro Display), which on the other hand has the effect of slightly reducing the brightness of the screen.

This information, which comes to us from Instant Digital on the Chinese social network Weibo, is supplemented by an interesting clarification: this option would not be offered on all configurations of the iPad Pro 2024. We can therefore imagine that Apple would reserve it only for the most expensive models of the machine, those intended primarily for professionals and creative users.

Towards a touch screen that is easier on the eyes… and on the fingers

This new option for the iPad Pro would also have the effect of giving the screen a softer “paper” feel, which could actually appeal to certain users, particularly graphic designers using the device with an Apple Pencil stylus.

The fact remains that this new feature would not be offered on the iPad Air. At least not right away. According to the leaker, the thing could indeed extend to Apple’s mid-range tablet, but only later.
