Against unemployment – build your own career ladder with eco-building blocks

Job.ReAct finds vacancies for the long-term unemployed, and companies find new employees in return. The project of the MAG People and Work supports the re-entry into professional life.

Back to work stone by stone: Iwona Brzica has made it. After six months of “trial work” at the ecological building block manufacturer Bioblo in Tulln, the young mother was taken on permanently at the end of the year. And as the warehouse manager, she personally watches over every building block that leaves the hall. The 34-year-old currently packs around 40 boxes every day – all by hand. “I’m very happy, the team is great and everything went great from day one,” says Brzica. A win-win situation for both sides: “Iwona is an integral part of our team. We have tested Job.ReAct and are benefiting greatly from it,” say the company founders Stefan Friedrich and Hannes Frech. One million euros investedThe MAG People and Work project will help long-term unemployed people who have lost their jobs as a result of or during the corona pandemic re-entry supported. “We were able to reach 500 people in one year, and almost 60 participants are currently assigned to companies,” explains Labor Market Councilor Martin Eichtinger.
