The French

The French deploy powerful cavalry units and can increase production in their fortifications. Enemies must be prepared to withstand charges from powerful royal knights and other armored units.
Holy Roman Empire
Period → 936 – 1517 CE
Prelates strengthen the economy of the Holy Roman Empire, while powerful infantry units form the core of its army. Enemies must face an adversary capable of recovering quickly from attacks and deploying strong counterattacks.
The Mongols
Period → 1000 – 1500 CE
Experts in mobility and mounted combat, the Mongols can easily move their camps. They derive economic benefits from settling near rock outcrops and descents into enemy buildings. Enemies must deal with cavalry attacks early in the game.
The Rus’
Period → 882 – 1547 CE
The Rus’ derive great advantage from the campaign. They are able to more easily collect resources from hunting and forestry, and then deploy powerful combat units. Enemies will face strong fortifications and a diverse economy early on that won’t be easily shaken.
Delhi Sultanate
Period → 879 – 1526 CE
The Delhi Sultanate stays ahead of its enemies through large networks of scholars. Fully aware of his role, he deploys the fearsome war elephant and tramples all who stand in his way.
Abbasid dynasty
Period → 750 – 1517 CE
The Abbasid dynasty pursues a flourishing golden age by concentrating the structures of the house of wisdom, allowing it to unlock considerable economic benefits. Ottomans
Period → 990 – 1566 CE
The Ottoman army can expand to dominate the battlefield, with the support of military schools able to continually produce units to swell the ranks of their formations. Mehter war drums support these formations and signal highly trained troops to take advantage of the situation.
