Age of Empires IV: first details on what’s new in Seasons 1 and 2

A few weeks after its launch on PC, relic had detailed the novelties to come in the first months for Age of Empires IV. The studio is now taking stock by turning to the additions that will be made during the first half of 2022. There will thus be one major update per quarter, with level changes gameplay then a season numbered game whose new features will start about a week after the patch, so that the community has time to get used to the rebalancing. There will always be bug fixes and additional content, for solo or online play.

The theme of Season 1 is still secret, but it will be accompanied by a Content editor in betasupplemented by tutorials and mods designed by developers. It will also introduce the seasonal rankingwith difficulty and rewards based on your multiplayer level, and improved keyboard shortcutsbefore the entries fully remappable are not offered in Season 2.
