Friday February 23 was the Age of Empires special event “New Year, New Age”. The opportunity for Xbox and the teams Age of Empires to present the many new features to come for the franchise. And above all to finally have news of Age of Empires Mobile.
Announced in 2022, the title has since been extremely discreet and will therefore have waited for the “New Year, New Age” event to begin to reveal its gameplay. A first overview which shows certain features specific to the franchise such as the strategic management of resources as well as the training of varied armies. This mobile version should therefore offer players battles bringing together several hundred players on a single screen as well as large maps.
Note that if no release date has been mentioned at the moment for Age of Empires Mobilethe title should see the light of day in 2024. And pre-orders are already open on iOS as well as on Android.

Of course, the “New Year, New Age” event was not limited to Age of Empires Mobile and almost all the titles in the license were entitled to their announcement.
So, Age of Mythology: Retold, unveiled in 2022 on the occasion of the 25th anniversary event, should see the light of day during 2024. The title will be available on PC via Steam as well as on Xbox. And we already know that it will be possible to meet Medusa, Pegasus and Cerberus there.
Age of Empires II will benefit, on March 14, from new downloadable content entitled Victors and Vanquished. The latter will feature 19 epic single-player scenarios that will be accompanied by new music and new hits.
