Summary
How to play Melusi
Role: Roamer
Roaming involves leaving the objective site as a defender to interrupt and backhand the attacking team.
As a Roamer, getting kills is an important goal, but that’s not the only reason for this archetype. The main purpose of Roaming is to waste attackers’ time and constantly harass them in order to prevent them from progressing towards the objective.
Melusi’s Banshees are a passive gadget that can distract attackers and help your teammates. This can be done without the agent being present on the target, or even alive: a considerable advantage!
Therefore, after placing his Banshees at the start of the round, Melusi can leave the objective and roam freely.
Difficulty
Average
Melusi is easy to handle, especially on the mechanical side. Despite this, it will take a good knowledge of the cards to be able to master it.
- Melusi’s ability is easy to use, but requires good knowledge of the map
- Passive utility, even a dead Melusi can be useful
- Requires minimal communication to share banshee location
Which equipment to choose for Melusi
Which main weapon to choose
Melusi has access to two primary weapons, the MP5 and the SUPER 90. Since shotguns are not very reliable weapons in Rainbow Six, the MP5 imposes itself.
the MP5 has a very manageable recoil, which allows the player to shoot in the same spot without needing to adjust the recoil significantly. The best barrel accessory for MP5 is, the Flash Hider, as it reduces vertical recoil which is most important here. The Vertical Handlee will be chosen for the same reason.

Which secondary weapon to choose
Melusi only has access to one secondary weapon, the RG15. the RG15 is a very reliable gun, which has a high ammo count but quite low damage per bullet. The RG15 is equipped by default with a single sight.
the Muzzle Brake is excellent on the weapon. As for the Laser, its usefulness will depend on your use of the pistol: if you tend to shoot a lot from the hip, install one, otherwise it is better to do without it.

Which gadget to choose
Melusi has access to two universal gadgets: the nitro and the Impact Grenade. Choosing the right gadget will depend on your playstyle, as with most agents.
Taking the Nitro with Melusi is very easily justified, especially when you consider the destructive potential of the traps you can set up with your Banshees. Despite this, the Impact Grenade is the most versatile gadget available to defenders and will therefore be our choice.

Single ability
The Banshee Sonic Tusks are Melusi’s unique ability in Rainbow Six Siege.
Banshee Sonic Defense |
Melusi’s unique ability is Banshee. She has access to 3 of these devices that she can only deploy on a wall or on the ground.
- Melusi’s gadget is deployable in nature: a Banshee cannot be thrown
- Device can be deployed on both horizontal and vertical surfaces
- The gadget has an effective radius of 4 meters
- The effective radius is circular, with the device at the center
- The effectiveness of the Banshee depends on the proximity of enemies. The closer an enemy is to it, the greater the effect will be.
- 8 meters: emits low noises reducing speed to 75%
- 4 meters: emits louder noise and reduces attacker’s speed by 50%
- The Banshee device also affects the visibility of opponents, making it cloudy
- The Banshee is bulletproof and can only be destroyed with explosives or melee attacks
Banshee Sonic Defenses are usually placed in tight places and where attackers have no direct view of the area. Stairs, in particular, are a great place to place a Banshee.
Besides the placement, remember that the second effect of this gadget is to cause a very loud noise. This helps alert defenders to nearby enemies.
