Suspected of being the sponsor of the aggression of her former teammate at PSG Kheira Hamraoui, the French international Aminata Diallo, was indicted on Friday in this case, like four other people, for “aggravated violence” and “association of wrongdoers”.
In the evening, the former PSG player, now without a club, was placed in pre-trial detention, implicated as “the sponsor” of the attack on her ex-teammate at Paris SG Kheira Hamraoui, said the prosecution. of Versailles. “Madame Diallo wanted a deferred debate” before the judge of freedoms and detention, after her indictment, “and in the meantime she was temporarily imprisoned”, explained the Versailles prosecutor’s office in a press release.
Aminata Diallo is not very talkative in the face of investigators
After the aggression on November 4 of Kheira Hamraoui, 32 years old and 39 selections for the France team, the hypothesis of a rivalry between the two players of Paris SG, playing in the same midfield position, had been, in a first time, considered. Aminata Diallo has always strongly contested being involved. In November 2021, she had already been placed in police custody, before coming out free, without charge against her.
According to the Versailles prosecutor’s office, there were “about eight hours” left to perform on this police custody started in November and legally limited to a total of 48 hours. Arrested around 6 a.m. at her home on Friday, the 27-year-old player remained in the premises of the Versailles judicial police until the beginning of the afternoon, when she was brought to the courthouse. Contacted by AFP, his lawyer, Mourad Battikh, could not be reached immediately.
According to a source familiar with the matter, while she was implicated by the other indicted during their police custody, Aminata Diallo “did not say much” Friday in front of the investigators. “She did not acknowledge her participation (in the aggression, editor’s note) before quickly invoking her right to silence,” said this source.
The four men deny having struck
Four men, born between 1999 and 2003, were also indicted on Friday for “criminal association” and “aggravated violence” after their arrest this week. Two of them were placed in pre-trial detention, and a third emerged free, under judicial supervision.
According to a source familiar with the matter, these men implicated Aminata Diallo as a sponsor, before the investigators. They also acknowledged their presence at the scene of the attack but deny having carried out the blows.
On November 4, 2021, Kheira Hamraoui was attacked in Chatou (Yvelines) with iron bars and beaten on the legs by two men, in front of Aminata Diallo, as they were returning by car from a team dinner. The player was then taken to the hospital to receive stitches.
“I experienced a real ambush. These individuals were waiting for me behind a truck. They were in the right place at the right time. How could they have been so well informed? today,” she told L’Equipe newspaper in June.
Contacted by AFP, his lawyer declined to comment on Friday morning. This case had completely destabilized the PSG locker room and had a negative impact on the sports performance of the two players. Kheira Hamraoui’s relationship with several of her teammates, in particular Marie-Antoinette Katoto and Kadidiatou Diani, had deteriorated sharply, the latter reproaching her for the first police custody of Aminata Diallo.
