agreement between Bouygues and associations for a real estate project

The property development company of the Bouygues group announced Thursday that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with six associations which puts an end to their appeal against a real estate project located on Ile Seguin in Boulogne-Billancourt (Hauts-de-Seine).

This 100,000 m2 project, called Vivaldi, provides for the construction of offices, shops and a large park in the central part of the island, the former headquarters of a Renault car manufacturing plant.

We are very happy that Vivaldi can see the light of day thanks to this agreement which we have just signed, declared the president of Bouygues Immobilier, Bernard Mounier, in a press release.

This new project is proof that consultation and listening are at the heart of real estate today in order to propose operations that meet the needs of users, local residents and communities, he added.

Several local associations, including Environment 92, the Meudon Site Safeguard Committee and La Seine n’est pas vente, had filed a legal action against Vivaldi last summer.

In February, they announced that they had reached a compromise with Bouygues Immobilier and the local public company Val-de-Seine Amnagement, the developer and the developer undertaking in particular to reduce the height of the office buildings and implement a greening plan of the island.

Asked by AFP, the associations and their lawyer did not react immediately to the announcement of the signing of the agreement.

Construction work on the Vivaldi project is due to start in early 2024.
