“VYou are demonstrating a form of civic violence. “An activist claiming to be from the “Last renovation” collective called out to the president during his stroll at the Agricultural Show, calling on him to “listen to scientific reports” on climate change. There followed a tense exchange between Emmanuel Macron and this man wearing a T-shirt crossed out with the words “What are you used for? “.

“I’m here to tell you that we won’t stop, because we’re tired of asking nicely. Hear that, otherwise it’s going to be terrible. I finished what I had to say, ”he said, pointing his index finger at the head of state, but refusing to listen to his answer. “We have already heard you! “, he justified himself.

“You are the demonstration of a form of civic violence”, retorted Emmanuel Macron, questioning him: “I am elected by the French people, you are elected by whom? “This is not a debate!” insisted the activist. “Well then, leave, if it’s not a debate!” replied the President of the Republic.

A tense exchange

While the young man promised to “not let it go” by arguing that “it’s the life of [sa] little sister who [était] at stake”, Emmanuel Macron took it up by proclaiming “the life of farmers is the life of our compatriots”.

Still challenged on “the thermal renovation of buildings”, Emmanuel Macron replied: “That’s what we’re doing! “I want to answer you, but you don’t have the courage and the coherence to listen to an answer.” It looks like you, and that’s useless”, concluded the Head of State, before pointing out, a few minutes later: “Me, I agree to be yelled at, to be pushed around, but I don’t really like interpellation without debate. »

Follower of the strategy of a bang, the Last Renovation collective, founded in early 2022, has already disrupted the Tour de France, Roland-Garros or a PSG-OM match. Friday evening, one of its activists briefly entered the stage during the Cesar ceremony.
