Microsoft intends to restore health to Bing thanks to AI. In recent days, a thread on the Bing Reddit page has been filled with screenshots of Bing Chat running in Apple’s Safari and Google’s Chrome browsers. “I don’t know if this is a bug or an intent, but I can access Bing Chat using Safari (desktop and mobile) and Chrome”for example published a user, before updating his post to explain that access was now restricted on mobile Safari.
Asked on Twitter by Neowin, Mikhail Parakhin, head of advertising and web services at Microsoft, said: “We are experimenting, we will roll it out gradually.” Until now, Microsoft’s chatbot could only be used from Edge, but its deployment to other browsers could give new ambitions to Bing, used by 8.85% of Internet users in January 2023.
