(CercleFinance.com) – Air France-KLM announces that it has finalized today the full repayment of its loan guaranteed by the French State (PGE).
Air France-KLM has fully repaid the remaining 2.5 billion euros of the initial amount of 4 billion euros of loan guaranteed by the French State, granted during the Covid-19 crisis.
The Group’s strong cash position, combined with the proceeds from the issuance in January 2023 of a Sustainability Linked Bond for €1 billion, enabled the acceleration and completion of the full repayment of the outstanding PGE .
“This full repayment will contribute to smoothing the Group’s debt profile, reducing financial costs and limiting residual exposure to variable rates,” indicates the group.
