[ad_1]

(CercleFinance.com) – Air Liquide and Sasol announced on Tuesday that they had signed two long-term contracts (PPA) with TotalEnergies for the supply of renewable energies to the South African site of Secunda belonging to Sasol.

This is the second series of PPAs concluded by Air Liquide and the petrochemical company, after those already announced last month with Enel Green Power for a capacity of 220 MW.

Together, these contracts will bring to 480 MW the renewable energy capacities acquired by Air Liquide and Sasol as part of their commitment to decarbonize the site.

In total, the two groups intend to secure a total capacity of 900 MW of renewable energies for the installation, where Air Liquide operates the largest oxygen production site in the world.
