Air Liquide reports annual turnover slightly above analysts’ expectations


February 20 (Reuters) – Industrial gases specialist Air Liquide reported on Tuesday a turnover slightly above expectations, citing an increase in sales and its operating margin as well as investments, notably in decarbonization.

In 2023, the group’s turnover stood at 27.61 billion euros, down 7.8% in published values ​​but up 3.7% like-for-like.

Analysts expected annual revenue of 27.53 billion euros, according to a consensus compiled by Vara Research.

Air Liquide declared that it had almost achieved its objective of increasing its operating margin, at +160 basis points, planned for 2025, and indicated that it was doubling its initial ambition.

For 2024, the group says it is confident in its ability to once again increase its operating margin and achieve growth in recurring net profit, at constant exchange rates.
