(CercleFinance.com) – Airbus announced Monday that it had reached an agreement to acquire Infodas, a German company specializing in the cybersecurity sector.

Based in Cologne, this company which employs 250 people and generates an annual turnover of around 50 million euros – provides services to the public sector, particularly in defense and critical infrastructure.

Airbus emphasizes that this acquisition is part of its strategic ambition to strengthen its cybersecurity activities in the interest of its customers.

‘Given the exponential growth of threats linked to cybersecurity, the growing digitalization and connectivity of its products and systems, cybersecurity has become an essential element of Airbus’ development,’ explains the aircraft manufacturer in a press release. .

The transaction – the financial terms of which have not been specified – should be completed by the end of 2024.
