(Boursier.com) — New great order for Airbus. Cathay Group has announced the purchase of 32 additional A320neo family aircraft, as it continues to invest in the expansion and modernization of its fleet. This agreement brings the total number of A320 neo family aircraft ordered by the Asian carrier to 64 units, of which 13 have already been delivered.
The additional 32 aircraft will include both the A321neo and A320neo which will join the Cathay Pacific and HK Express fleets. They will mainly serve destinations in mainland China and elsewhere in Asia. Christian Scherer, Chief Commercial Officer and International Director of Airbus, said: “Cathay is one of the world’s leading airline groups and we are proud to be part of its recovery and growth plan.”
