Airbus: delivers 2 H135 helicopters to the Spanish authorities

(CercleFinance.com) – Airbus announces that it has delivered the first two H135 helicopters to the Spanish Guardia Civil and National Police as part of the 36-unit contract signed with the General Directorate of Armaments and Material (DGAM) at the end of 2021 to supply the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of the Interior.

The new helicopters will allow the National Police and the Guardia Civil to replace BO105 helicopters in a wide range of missions, including policing, surveillance and rescue activities. In total, the Ministry of Interior will receive 18 units.

The Spanish Air Force and Navy will receive eleven and seven H135s respectively, with deliveries starting next year, in addition to the 16 helicopters already operated by the Spanish military for training and support missions in the Military Emergency Unit (UME).

From 2023, these different bodies will thus be able to benefit from synergies in terms of training, operation and maintenance.
