(CercleFinance.com) – Airbus announces that as part of its current agreement, Delta Airlines has unveiled an order for 12 additional A220-300 aircraft, bringing the total number of A220 aircraft ordered by the airline to 131, i.e. 45 A220-100 and 86 A220-300.
“This new order from the largest customer and operator of the A220 is further strong evidence of the opportunities offered by this family of latest generation aircraft,” comments Christian Scherer, Airbus Chief Commercial Officer.
Delta took delivery of its first Airbus A220 in October 2018 and was the first US-based operator to operate this type of aircraft. It currently operates a fleet of 433 Airbus aircraft, including 61 A220 aircraft.
