Airbus: JAL orders 21 A350-900s and 11 A321neos


(CercleFinance.com) – Japan Airlines (JAL) announced an order for 21 Airbus A350-900s, as well as 11 A321neos as part of its fleet renewal plan. The company also ordered 10 Boeing 787-9s.

On international routes, JAL has planned 20 additional Airbus A350-900s. Additionally, JAL plans to add 10 Boeing 787-9 aircraft to its existing fleet of over 50 Boeing 787 aircraft.

These new aircraft are intended to enhance and expand the capacity of JAL’s international operations, with a focus on regions such as North America, Asia and India.

By 2030, JAL aims to expand and grow its international network, increasing capacity approximately 1.4 times.

The introduction of both aircraft types is planned over a period of approximately six years, starting in fiscal 2027.
