(CercleFinance.com) – LanzaJet announced on Thursday the signing of a memorandum of understanding with Airbus in the field of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production.
Under the terms of the partnership, the two groups intend to explore the feasibility of building SAF production sites using LanzaJet’s ‘Alcohol-to-Jet’ (ATJ) process, which converts alcohol into jet fuel.
The objective is to achieve, by the end of the decade, a technology that would allow Airbus to operate all of its aircraft with SAF, without the need to modify the infrastructure of its aircraft.
