(CercleFinance.com) – Airbus US Space & Defense announces the finalization of an agreement with Eutelsat OneWeb with a view to purchasing its 50% stake in their joint venture manufacturing small satellite constellations created in 2016, Airbus OneWeb Satellites (AOS ).
The aircraft manufacturer is now the sole owner of AOS and its satellite manufacturing plant in Merritt Island, Florida. He expects maximum efficiency and increased competitiveness from the new structure.
Airbus US Space & Defense recently retooled Merritt Island to accommodate the Arrow450 production line and is launching an expansion project to meet growing demand for small satellites from commercial and government customers.
