(CercleFinance.com) – The group presents Airbus Virtual Procedure Trainer which allows pilots to learn procedures using virtual reality.
Advanced procedures training for pilots is now possible without using a flight simulator or on-site procedures trainer.
The software solution immerses trainees in a virtual cockpit and coaches them on Airbus standard operating procedures (SOPs).
The Lufthansa Group will be the launch customer for the new solution presented at the EATS (European Airline Training Symposium) 2022 in Berlin.
“Thanks to our Virtual Procedure Trainer, the pilots have clearly learned the procedures more effectively and efficiently, offering the possibility of shortening their type rating course,” says Fabrice Hamel, Vice President of Airbus Flight Operations & Training.
‘The new tool also offers a lot more flexibility as trainees can choose to train alone with an AI, or together online.’
