AirPods Pro 2 without special sensors

The wind is taken out of the sails of the AirPods Pro 2 before they even take off. If the well-known insider Mark Gurman from Bloomberg has his way, then the small TWS headphones from Apple will now not equipped with two special sensors as expected. There had previously been rumors about a heart monitor and a temperature sensor. However, these should probably “not come with the 2022 upgrade”, as it is now said (source: Bloomberg).

Just last month it was said that the AirPods Pro 2 would be able to heart rate and body temperature to measure in the ear. The same report also said the headphones would feature USB-C, an updated H1 chip, and “Find My” functionality.

The deleted features raise the question of how the AirPods Pro 2 will ultimately fare differ from the predecessor will. The AirPods Pro came onto the market in 2019 and nothing has changed since then – apart from a MagSafe charging case. The AirPods Pro 2 should be expected later in the year, possibly accompanied by the iPhone 14 and a new Apple Watch in September 2022.
