Similar to the first generation, the design of AirPods Pro 2 is neat, with clean lines and elegant style. Apple’s headphones do not fit completely inside the ear, but fill the ear canal enough to provide excellent support and comfort, even during long listening sessions. The touch surface on the stem appears and allows you to change the volume and tracks, receive your calls, or activate noise reduction, with a simple swipe of your finger.
Apple’s headphones deliver quality sound, generally well balanced. The bass offers good amplitude without being overbearing, while the bass and treble are precise. Even at high volume, the audio is impeccably accurate, with clean and natural sound, and perfectly transcribed voice tones. Spatial audio also offers impressive sound spatialization.
Are AirPods Pro 2 a good deal at this price?
Less than €200 for Apple’s best headphones is a great deal. The AirPods Pro 2 shine with their efficient active noise reduction. Thanks to the H2 chip, bass and midrange are perfectly attenuated, and surrounding noise is completely suppressed, for total isolation. An equally efficient Transparent Adaptive mode is also available and allows ambient sounds to pass through in order to remain aware of your environment.
In terms of autonomy, count on 6 hours of use with ANC activated, and 2 hours more without. The box allows for 30 hours of additional listening time. Finally, note that the AirPods Pro 2 are IPX4 certified, and resistant to dust, splashing water and perspiration.
