Rumors around the AirPods Pro 2 have been circulating for a long time, but they seem to be gaining consistency this week. Indeed, the wireless headphones from Apple should land in the relatively near future…

Unfortunately, the American firm could keep its good old habits with regard to the connectors of this new model.

Health before all !

Last February, the contours of the AirPods Pro 2 finally began to take shape. It evoked earphones mainly based on functionalities devoted to sport and health. Movement sensors and an oximeter could be directly included in this model. All without of course omitting the ergonomic aspect of the headsets as well as the audio quality that should emerge.

But while waiting to have access to more concrete elements, we have to be content with indiscretions on the part of certain insiders. Today, it is the famous analyst Ming-Chi Kuo who returns to the front of the stage with unpublished information.

Headphones that take their time

Thus, according to the details communicated by Kuo (to be taken with tweezers, therefore), the AirPods Pro 2 will enter their production phase during the second half of 2022. Apple could then announce a scheduled release at the end of the year. In addition, the apple brand would have chosen to relocate its production to Vietnam rather than China. The analyst speaks in particular a better production environment “, a polite expression no doubt used to indicate that labor is much cheaper there.

Finally, Kuo says that the AirPods Pro 2 will once again sport the good old Lightning port to ensure their charging. Indeed, despite Apple’s desire to definitively abandon this connection in favor of USB-C, such a change should not take place before 2023.
