An 18-year-old man was taken into custody on Sunday May 1. He is suspected of having killed his wife’s former companion with seven stab wounds, said the Laon prosecutor’s office in Aisne.
The suspect is already known to the police. He was arrested very early this Sunday on the public highway, said prosecutor Guillaume Donnadieu.
The facts would have occurred following an altercation with the former companion of his companion. He showed up at his home. However, the reasons for this visit are not yet known.
Hit seven times in the abdomen, the 27-year-old victim succumbed to his injuries despite the arrival of help.
When arrested, the man was intoxicated. The police had been alerted by a call presenting a drunken man on the street saying he had killed his wife’s lover, said a source familiar with the matter.
