A 20-year-old young man showed great courage and determination on Thursday morning in Saint-Quentin, Aisne, by preventing an individual from kidnapping a 6-year-old child, reports L’Aisne Nouvelle.
On his way to class, the student spots a man with suspicious behavior who approaches and gets into a car. He understands very quickly that the individual is trying to seize the child seated in the back of the vehicle. The mother, who had just got out of the car, called for help. The young man rushes on the individual helped by two other passers-by who had understood what was happening.

“I immediately tried to get him out of the car, but I had no strength left. I then called for help, ”said the mother. “He was intervening, he was trying to grab the girl. When the mother shouted “Help”, she said it was a stranger, I went. He fell badly, I practice self-defense, ”said the student who is preparing for the competitions to join the Air Force.
He then controlled the suspect by pinning him to the ground and immobilized him while waiting for the police.
“A big thank you to the young man who intervened for his citizen gesture,” wrote the national police on his Facebook page.
Arrested, the man was placed in a psychiatric institution “in view of his state of health”.
The investigation established that, a few minutes before, he had committed a sexual assault on a jogger.
